How many of us have dreamt of a Hawaiian wedding? I’m willing to bet a whole lot. Jenny + Denton had the same dream, and it became their reality. They went on a weekend getaway to the Big Island where Denton proposed on a secluded beach, and because much of his family is from there, they decided to head back to Hawaii to tie the knot- in Honolulu this time!
Jenny, with help from family, made all the succulent bouquets, centerpieces, and the majority of the decor. Denton made his own wedding ring out of two quarters, and he made Jenny’s ring as well. Impressive stuff, huh? Big thanks to Rachel Robertson Photography for sending this lovely wedding our way!

Today I have a sweet St. Louis wedding for you from Hawes Photography! Ben + Emma had an awesome wedding that was overflowing with cute personal details. My favorite has to be the little signs throughout the reception that had facts about the couple- especially the one about how they love cooking for one another. It lists each of their specialties and the dishes they enjoy cooking together. Adorable!

I absolutely love this laid-back affair on a Tennessee lake! Lauren + UiJin didn’t want to wait long to wed, so rather than planning a huge elaborate wedding, they planned an intimate celebration of their love and commitment at a friend’s lovely lake home. They even walked each other down the aisle and exchanged vows with champagne in hand! UiJin’s adorable daughter was the flower girl. What a great example of a wedding that is a true reflection of the couple. Remember people, there are no rules! Make your wedding unique to you and your partner. Big thanks to JameyKay Young Photography for sending this sweet wedding over!

Adria + Scott are from Ohio, but had a destination wedding in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Their wedding was full of charm and fun details, and even though temperatures rose to 112 degrees that day, everyone did their best to stay cool and have a great time. Honestly, you would never know from these gorgeous photos that it was burning up that day. The bride and groom are absolutely glowing, but with love not sweat! (Sorry, that was totally corny of me.)
A great example showing that unexpected extreme weather doesn’t have to put a damper on your big day! Thanks to Jameykay Young Photography for sharing this lovely wedding.

There is officially one week left until Christmas, my very favorite day of the year! Hooray!!!! I spent the weekend with my husband and friends crafting snow globes and ornaments, making holiday sweet treats, and going to Disneyland. How have you been spending your holidays so far? I’d love to hear about it!
Now, on to today’s post- I have an awesome Orange County ranch wedding to share with you that was sent over by the wonderful Joe + Kathrina! Here is a bit more about the day:
“Sean+Melissa had been engaged for four years, they were thinking about rivaling the movie “Five Year Engagement” but instead decided to get into wedding planning mode. The constant set back had been Melissa’s dream wedding, a complete DIY wedding, that included cowboy boots and a whole lot of fun for their guests. Parker’s Ranch was the perfect set up for what they imagined–the venue is part of a ranch and you have free control of whatever you want to do there. And so the planning started. They included a popcorn bar, a dessert buffet, smores, food trucks, a mariachi band and shot glasses… Instead of the traditional champagne toasts, which they weren’t very keen on, they decided instead to do tequila shots. Afterwards guests were able to take home the shot glasses. It was the perfect touch! Days before their wedding Sean+Melissa were still scrambling to get everything done, the morning of the wedding glue was still wet on some diy projects and Melissa was running an hour late. But through it all they always knew everything would come together perfectly, because they had each other and that was all that mattered.”

When I was little, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett was one of my very favorite books! I’m sure as little girls, and even today, many of you feel the same. That is why I am loving that Lora + Nicholas designed their intimate North Carolina wedding with a secret garden theme! The bride Lora made many of the details including the invitations, moss table numbers, programs, and wooden signs. She did a fantastic job! Big thanks to Lime Green Photography for sending this beautiful wedding my way.
