Fiji is by far my favorite place I’ve ever been!!! I have a hard time believing that any place in the world could top the natural beauty and wonderful people that my husband and I encountered there while on our honeymoon. Fiji holds a very special place in my heart, and I hope one day we have a chance to renew our vows there. Tara + Mike were lucky enough to get married at the gorgeous Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, and I love every last thing about their wedding! A big thanks to Deep Grey Photography who captured this beautiful celebration and sent it my way!

This is the last wedding I’ll be posting before Christmas, and I must say, it’s a pretty good one to end on before my little holiday hiatus! A fantastical bohemian wedding, set amongst a moss covered forest of towering trees in Oregon. Julie Pepin Photography was on hand to capture James + Aileen’s magical day, and she truly caught that magic in her images. Here’s some more about the wedding, from the bride Aileen…
I have not only attended but also participated in countless weddings. After a while, they all begin to look the same. I was never one to fantasize about my own wedding as they were always more of a chore than a joy. That was, of course, until my own boyfriend whom I’d known since I was 13 got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. As if struck by lightning, I suddenly knew EXACTLY the feel and vibe of our wedding as though I’d been secretly scheming for years. I knew it would be peacock themed and a bit on the rugged fairy tale-esque side with lots of green nature, brown woodsy goodness, and earthy lovin’. I also knew there would be tons of bargain thrift store hunting and DIY projects (which I love) in order to get the most out of our small budget. Lucky for me, James was completely on board and willing to help with everything I decided so long as he didn’t have to figure anything out :). The stars aligned and everything began falling into place. There was such an outpouring of love and support from family and friends to help make our wedding celebration our own. What it all boils down to is that the day was perfect and James and I are as content as ducks in a pond!

Today I have a wedding that I love, love, love to share with you! Abi + Adam were married in September at an old summer camp in New Hampshire. Just looking at the photos of their beautiful day, captured by Boro Creative Visions, brings a HUGE smile to my face! I adore the laid back vibe, the bridesmaids’ emerald dresses, the colorful florals, and Abi + Adam’s sweet pup Timber, just to name a few things.
The bride Abi was sweet enough to share some details about the day with us…
The inspiration for our wedding has definitely shaped itself over the course of planning it. There were a couple of things that we knew right of the bat. Those things being that, it was going to be outside and this was not going to be an over the top formal, or incredibly traditional ceremony/reception. This is why we chose an old summer camp in Lyme, NH (now owned by family friends) to have the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception!
We were inspired by our shared love for the outdoors, which is what brought us both out to Jackson, WY, where we met. I guess if there is a theme, it would include words like, campy, outdoorsy, rustic, antique, casual, and a little bit of western to represent where we met and live.
Annnd a few words about how they included Timber. If you read this blog often, you will know I am a complete and utter sucker for all things puppy:)…
When we decided that the wedding would be in NH, there was no question Timber would be making the trip east with us from Wyoming. Three years back, Adam and I, made a, as my Mom warned, “huge commitment”, and adopted Timber. Timber, you could say, married us to each other for the rest of his dog life:) He made us a family. He is apart of “us”. So, of course he would be apart of our wedding! However, we weren’t sure just how involved, he would be. During the ceremony, Timber sat quietly at the edge of woods that were our backdrop, eyes glued to the treetops, oblivious to his parents, or so we thought. When it came time for our vows, Adam and I stepped forward to hold hands. In doing so, Timber immediately broke from his squirrel trance and trotted over to us. Standing at our feet, looking up at us with a smile and wagging tail, it was like he knew that mom and dad were doing something that he couldn’t miss. Not to sound cheesy but, I will anyway, it was perfect-just like him.
Here’s some final (and really good!) advice from Abi..
Chill out and don’t do leave anything to be done the day before. If you’re getting married on Saturday then, Thursday is the last day that you should do anything wedding-wise. I did not do this and that’s my one regret. I felt like I was in a dead sprint until the very end. Friday, should be for taking it all in and spending the extra time with friends and family. If you still have stuff to do then, you’ll be like me, a distracted mess! Slow it down and enjoy. Oh yea, and make sure to grab some dessert before it gets devoured! That way, when you’re looking back at pictures, you’re not salivating and imagining just how good those s’mores cupcakes must have tasted! It doesn’t matter how many you order, people go crazy with bite sized desserts.

Andrea + Nico were married in the beautiful coastal Oregon town of Yachats, and their fun-filled wedding was sent over by WOA Photos! I’ve always wanted to visit the Oregon coast, but have yet to make it there. These photos remind me once again of why exactly it is that I want to vacation there- the STUNNING ocean views! I’m more of a forest girl than a beach girl, but these beaches are calling my name! Seriously, what a perfect location to tie the knot. Just gorgeous!

It’s the beginning of a new week, and I have the perfect wedding to kick your Monday off to a great start! Teddie + Lindia’s romantic travel themed wedding was sent over by Jeremy Chou Photoworks, who did an awesome job capturing the day. The beautiful design, created by my dear friend Miss Tashina, was inspired by their love of travel. Vintage maps, globes and suitcases adorned the reception, and I particularly love the paper globe seating chart. So cute and creative!

We’ve taken a trip across the United States so far with this week’s wedding features. We started on the East Coast in Cape Cod, and today we end up on the West Coast, more specifically at Mills College in Oakland where Lauren and Chris had a lovely wedding. The ceremony was held in the picturesque chapel set amidst a eucalyptus grove, and the reception was held at the historic Reinhardt Alumnae House. Every last loving moment of the day was captured beautifully by Emily Takes Photos!
