Today guest posts are wrapping up with some fun & fruity inspiration from Naomi of Enchanted Dream Weddings! A huge thank you to all of the lovely ladies who shared inspiration while I was away:)
With the summer months in full swing why not take advantage of it in its fullest and include sweet summer fruits into your wedding day feast? Instead of passing hors d’oeuvres why not serve fresh fruit canapés with fruit from your local growers? Or why not integrate them into wedding centerpiece décor. Eating fruit is like taking a little of the sunshine inside.

It’s with enormous pleasure and honor that today we are guest posting in such an inspirational blog like The Loveliest Day! We are Sofia e André aka Brancoprata, a small Portuguese wedding company! When Melissa ask us to do this post while she is away enjoying a well deserved holiday, we immediately start to brainstorm about what we could do. First we thought something Fall related would be perfect! It’s a beautiful time of year here in Portugal so why not be inspired by it? And let’s face it… Fall is just around the corner!!
We quickly decided to do something that we don’t see everyday but … well… it’s where it all begins: “the proposal”.
The story quickly emerge on our minds: A very romantic boy who loves nature, decides to propose to his girlfriend. He invites her to a lunch by the sea, a very special place to both of them…A good bottle of French wine, cheese and some sweets for desert, become a treat she will never forget!
After lunch and after enjoying the amazing view in front of them… she sees a little wooden box with an envelope and some old keys … “You have the keys to my heart”- he said… and the ride for a lifetime begins.
First some sweet notes and them he finally pops the question!
We hope this inspires some of the man who are thinking about asking their sweethearts hand in marriage.

With so many beautiful flowers out there, it’s hard to choose a favorite, but if I HAD to, dahlias would be at the top of my list. From the cafe au lait dinner plate dahlia, to the stunning black dahlia (both of which were used in my wedding!), to playful little pom pom dahlias- I love them all!
Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend has almost arrived, so I wanted to leave you with a little something fun. Summer will be here before we know it, and for some reason whenever I think summer, I think gingham! While I love the classic Americana take on gingham in navy blues, whites and reds, my favorite kind of gingham is a mix of it in all the colors of the rainbow. A colorful gingham explosion! It makes me think of picnics in the park, running through the sprinklers, lemonade under a beach umbrella, icy fruit popsicles, and frolicking in the pool, among other things.
A colorful gingham wedding, or party of any sort would be so cute! If you have one, pretty, pretty please invite me.
Sometimes, the most simple details are the most delightful. This iced white cake adorned with a menagerie of colorful mini balloons, by Inchmark, is a perfect example!
It’s ideal for a kid’s party, but I think it would work just as well for a quirky and casual DIY wedding. So much cuteness, I almost can’t take it!

Hello to all of you Loveliest Day readers! I am thrilled to be guest posting for Melissa while she is away, relaxing to a quick recovery. Today’s mood board is all about a rich, sophisticated color palette designed with unique vintage touches.
One of my favorite flowers is the Anemone and with the winter season upon us I love the idea of using red anemone’s to create a rich winter color palette. Use a warm color palette of burgundy, charcoal grey, black and mix it with a pop of yellow like these billy button flowers is a unique look for a winter celebration. Decorating your theme with vintage touches like this unique photo table runner created by hatch creative studio or add silhouettes cut outs to add a whimsical feel. Put the finishing touch on your look by using a bouquet of anemone flowers or just one or two strands to complete your table top and this will create a charming and sophisticated look.
