Blackberry Farm Inspiration {by} Marry You Me…

Hi Lovelies! I’m Annie of Marry You Me and I’m so grateful to be here guest posting on The Loveliest Day for my sweet friend Melissa. I was delighted when Melissa asked me to post – I’ve been taking some time off from blogging recently and this gave me such a great reason to get back into it! I’d been itching to do an inspiration board, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

We are in blackberry season here in Oregon, so I felt super inspired by a recent trip to a U-Pick berry farm to do a blackberry farm inspired board for a wedding. Berries not only provide great desserts for weddings, but also are amazing for color palette and floral inspiration. For a berry inspired wedding, these mason jar printables from Paper Crave via Cottage Industrialist are simply divine. I love the idea of using unripe raspberries as boutonnieres, in bouquets and centerpieces. Use fresh berries in signature drinks like blackberry gin fizz or berry lemonade, in cardboard berry baskets as favors, in desserts like mini chocolate blackberry cupcakes, berry pies or for decorating cakes. A rustic farm setting at sunset makes for a perfect venue for this berry fete.

Caribbean Blue, Coconut + Ruby Inspiration {by} Postcards & Pretties…

Hey Loveliest Day readers!  Chris here from Postcards & Pretties and I’m super excited to be guest blogging for Melissa while she’s away on vacation. I can’t exactly pin point the destination of this board, it’s some place where the trade winds blow and worries are forgotten with a fruity cocktail.

Mexican Wedding Ideas…

Today I have some decor ideas for you, inspired by Mexico. Bright colors, mixed textures, and some fun cultural nods make for a fantastic fiesta!!!

How about a private sweetheart table on the beach at dusk? Serape blankets as aisle or table runners, maracas and sombreros as favors or photo booth props, papel picado draped across the room, a bright and textural bouquet, a bold hand painted cake, or layers of pink fringe to stand under as you say your I do’s? Love it all!

Who doesn’t love a tequila bar? This lighted Hola sign is simply adorable, and I adore this floral garland and ribbon chair decor.

Nautical Sparkle Inspiration…

A few weeks back, my friends over at Valley & Co. asked me to put together a guest post for them while they were vacationing in Hawaii. I made an inspiration board full of sparkly nautical goodness, and today, I’m going to share it with you! As a sparkle lover, I try to sprinkle it anywhere and everywhere I can. Paired with classic nautical motifs, I think it creates a truly chic look!

Wine Country Garden Wedding Shoot…

This adorable styled shoot took place in the Northern California wine country, at Redwood Hills Gardens! A great creative team, led by Denise of Modern Love Photography, put together a design that would make for the perfect intimate garden wedding. I’m loving the garland of vintage cards hung by clothespins, the sweet buttercream rose cake, and the chic ivory turban the bride model is sporting! My favorite detail of all though, has to be the favors. The swirled taffy and colorful shredded paper bursting out of glassine bags is a wonderful final touch!

Summer Gingham Inspiration…

Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend has almost arrived, so I wanted to leave you with a little something fun. Summer will be here before we know it, and for some reason whenever I think summer, I think gingham! While I love the classic Americana take on gingham in navy blues, whites and reds, my favorite kind of gingham is a mix of it in all the colors of the rainbow. A colorful gingham explosion! It makes me think of picnics in the park, running through the sprinklers, lemonade under a beach umbrella, icy fruit popsicles, and frolicking in the pool, among other things.

A colorful gingham wedding, or party of any sort would be so cute! If you have one, pretty, pretty please invite me.

Balloon Cake…

Sometimes, the most simple details are the most delightful. This iced white cake adorned with a menagerie of colorful mini balloons, by Inchmark, is a perfect example!

{By Brooke Reynolds of Inchmark}

It’s ideal for a kid’s party, but I think it would work just as well for a quirky and casual DIY wedding. So much cuteness, I almost can’t take it!
