How about a little roll in the hay today, eh? Okay, okay…that was probably a little too much, but it made me laugh so I went with it. But for real, this engagement session, which was sent over by Adri Page Photography is an absolute delight! I love the setting, it reminds me of the days when I used to live in Utah and would go running through fields just like these in cross country practice. A landscape that is simultaneously simple and staggering- and perfect for this sweet engagement session, if you ask me!
Sometimes I open a submission and my heart gets all fluttery because it’s just THAT beautiful! Well, that’s exactly what happened when I got my first peek of Danielle + Dan’s engagement session, captured by Danielle’s best friend, Veronica of Veronica Lola Photography. They started at the farmers market in Red Bank, NJ- a place Danielle + Dan, both vegetarians, love. Then they strolled over to a friend’s gorgeous river home, which was complete with a stunning dahlia garden and boat. I love this one so, so much! Enjoy:)
Doug + Abby are a totally adorable couple, which makes their adorable railroad engagement session in West Palm Beach, FL the perfect fit! They wanted a sweet, slightly vintage feel for this part of their session, and I think they hit the nail on the head. I especially love Abby’s shoes and ruffly blush hair flower. Just lovely! A big thanks to their photographer, Kalia Lily Photography, for sending this my way.
I love when I receive a submission that has a sweet story to go along with it, and that’s exactly what I got with Philip + Angela’s adorable engagement session, sent over by ! Here is what Chelsea shared about this lovely couple and their session, which was inspired by their long distance relationship, and the cross country journey it took for them to finally be together…
“Philip and Angela kind of meet through different turn of events, and they never thought it would led to forever and always. The thing was Philip lived all the way in Washington (the STATE!) and Angela was all the way in North Carolina. Although most people think long distance relationships never work, these two knew this was something so special. Angela wrote to me in one of her first emails “I guess we just knew each other was an answer to long-time prayers, and we just love each other so much! He’s really everything I’ve always prayed for, hoped for, and wanted in a guy that I’d spend my life with. He’s so sweet and kind, has a great friendly and positive personality, and is a great match for me, plus he has dimples!” So after a time dating from far away, Philip decided to pick up his life and move all the way to NC so he could be near Angela. Almost a year later and Philip proposed to Angela! As a photographer I have never seen two people more in love.”
Brooke + Paul will be married this summer in a French inspired wedding, so they decided to try to bring some of that same feel to their lovely engagement session. Their photographer, Abbey of of AK Studio & Design, shared a bit more about this session and Brooke + Paul’s story…
“After he spent two years living in Paris, he fell in love with the gorgeous architecture and beauty of the French countryside. Then he came home, and found his true love…her. And together they are getting ready to tie the knot in a french inspired wedding this summer. While the dream would have been to wander along the river Seine with the Eiffel Tower in the background and meander through the countryside for their engagement session, finding French inspiration in downtown Salt Lake City became just as great an adventure. The downtown scene is full of gorgeous historic buildings and details that played perfectly into the look we were hoping for. Choosing a theme inspired by a place we were unable to travel definitely posed an obstacle, but by looking outside the box and being creative with the scene we had close to home, it was such a great time getting to photograph this gorgeous couple and to give their guests a sneak peek into their upcoming wedding.”
From a Michigan cherry orchard yesterday, to a California orange grove today! Love Janet Photographysent Chris + Erika’s sweet orange grove engagement session my way, and I love how cute these two are together! Plus, if you haven’t noticed, I clearly have a thing for engagement sessions involving fruit ;) Next up, an engagement session on a pineapple farm! No not really, but if you have one, I’d love to see it:)
When I opened my inbox and saw this engagement session, submitted by the bride-to-be Dana, a smile instantly came to my face. First of all, I looooove cherry blossoms! Every spring when they bloom I’m reminded of the tree in the yard of my childhood home that bloomed every year right in time for my birthday. Also, I couldn’t help but be touched by how clearly in love Dana and Justin are. Their interactions in these photos are just darling! This session took place in a cherry blossom orchard in Michigan right at dusk, and was captured by Jeffrey Lewis Bennett. Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Dana!!!
