As someone who is admittedly not the best cook, I love getting tried and true recipes from others to add to my (small) collection. I have to say though, I prefer baking to cooking. What is my favorite thing to bake you ask? Why, cookies of course! Especially Christmas cookies. I can’t be the only one out there!

I know guests often give a favorite recipe to the bride at her shower, but if you’re hosting a bridal shower around the holidays, why not ask for a Christmas cookie recipe? Help start the newlyweds off with a great collection to choose from. They’ll thank you, I promise!

Mmm! Bourbon pecan chews. Like traditional pecan pie with a bit of punch from the bourbon. Sounds good to me:) Just one example of many delicious choices, but if you’re interested you can find the recipe on the Martha Stewart website.

For recipe cards, why not try making this version, which is super adorable AND cost efficient! They’re made from brown paper bags! Time to put that stock pile of Trader Joe’s bags to use:) Send one out with each guest’s invitation and ask them to bring the recipe along.
