Hope you all had a great Fourth of July weekend! We are back, and have Carla + Ricardo’s sweet Portuguese love shoot to share. Their photographer, Ricardo Silva, wanted this shoot to tell a story that celebrated Carla + Ricardo’s love. With a romantic and slightly quirky feel, I think he accomplished just that! Plus, I can never turn down a shoot that includes a cute pup:)

Blake + Julie wanted to celebrate their first wedding anniversary with a photo shoot by Amy Nicole Photography at the same spot they got engaged. That spot was Radnor Lake in Nashville, TN and I have to say- good job Blake on picking such a lovely place to propose!!! In fact, that tree in one of the final images is the exact spot where Blake got down on one knee. So sweet!
When I read the story behind this love session, it made me happy and sad in equal measure. Josh + Aiyana have been married for 13 years. (happy) . Their wedding photos were a complete disaster and they don’t have one framed wedding photo in their home. (sad) . They wanted a chance to capture their love in photo form all these years later, and Meg Takes Photos killed it! This wasn’t only a chance to get some beautiful pictures to replace those bad wedding photos though- now Josh + Aiyana have 3 adorable children, and they wanted to capture their entire family. Which by the way, has to be one of the cutest little families I ever did see! The mother/daughter, father/son matching shoes kill me!
I haven’t posted an anniversary shoot in awhile, and this is a super adorable one to start back with! Samantha is the owner of Blue Veil Rentals and Decor in Cambridge, Ontario, and she put together a “glamping” shoot to celebrate two years with her husband Nick. I love the framed mini marshmallow 2 for their second anniversary, and the “this is our happily ever after” signs. Way cute! Thanks to Taylor Roades Photography for sending this over:)
Today we are traveling across the world to Amsterdam for Jelle + Bo’s love shoot! They are a quirky couple who fully embody the unique spirit of Amsterdam. Their shoot started off at their own apartment, which they decorated with a collection of local art and vintage finds. Then they headed off into the city and ended at one of their favorite cafes. Big thanks to their photographer, Audra Wrisley, for sending this our way!
I am seriously SO excited to be back and posting on our new layout, guys! I hope you are enjoying it and finding the new features to be helpful! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it if you have any to share:) Today I have a romantic moss inspired day after session by Raquel Sergio Photography. It is a real beauty and giving off a bit of Southern charm, don’t you think? Maybe it’s the moss theme, which makes me think of moss draped Southern plantations- or maybe it’s the groom’s dapper look. Probably a bit of both!

Ooh, wisteria. You are oh so very beautiful!!! This lush canopy of blooming wisteria made the perfect location for Yelena + Frank’s day after session in Portland, OR, captured by Irina Bodnar Photography. Here is a bit more about Yelena + Frank’s love story from Irina…
“Yelena and Frank have quite the love story that not many couples experience. It’s more of the reality type “Romeo and Juliet” story rather than the mythical or imaginary. At least for the first part.Yelena comes from a very strict, conservative Russian family who always wished to see her get married to someone from her culture and religion. Frank is an easy going, fun, and spontaneous kind of a guy who has impeccable morals at heart. Frank first spotted Lena (short for Yelena) at his ethics class and ever since he first layed his eyes on her, he was unable to keep himself away from her. Lena, also fell in love with the guy before she could even stop herself. Unfortunately, their love had to take a ride on a bumpy road before they could be happy. At first, their families weren’t being supportive of their relationship and wanted them apart. But then they slowly started realizing that maybe they’re doing the wrong thing and finally allowed Lena and Frank to get married. The lovebirds have never been so happy as when they started to live their lives together. “
