Hello, all! I hope your week is off to a good start and that you all had a wonderful weekend. It was a scorcher here, over 100 degrees, but that (and the surprise rain storm that came out of nowhere) didn’t stop the wedding I styled on Saturday at the beautiful Temecula Creek Inn from going off without a hitch! It was gorgeous, and I always love seeing a happy couple tie the knot:) Congrats to Jenna + Eric!!!
It will be awhile until I have their wedding photos to share with you, but I do have another fantastic wedding to share with you today. Lana from Deep Grey Photography sent Kate + Dave’s lovely Australian wedding over, and I can’t get enough of the great light and pretty soft colors in these photos. Mixing shades of pale colored neutrals for the bridesmaids is always a fave of mine!

I’m loving the simple rustic wood arbor draped with flowy fabric and accented by white hydrangeas in James + Marissa’s Indiana wedding, sent over by Jesse Daniels Photography. I also adore Marissa’s lace trimmed veil- just beautiful! Classic weddings are really starting to make a come back, and while I’m an eclectic girl at heart, sometimes the simplicity of the traditional just can’t be beat.

It’s Monday again! Does anyone else feel like this day always comes back around too quickly? Where does the time go??? But anyways, I digress- on this bright and sunny Monday I have a beautiful California coastal wedding for you, sent over by Jeremy Chou Photography!
A bit more about the day from the bride, Kerry…
“Los Angeles is where John and I fell in love. So when we began planning our wedding, we felt that even though most of our friends and family are on the east coast, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. We love all things outdoors, 1960’s era California and robots. Thus a slightly disconnected wedding theme was born.We both knew that we wanted a small, intimate celebration with our families and closest friends, with personal touches that displayed our love for good food, great friends and each other. Though we spent a couple months searching for a location for the ceremony, nothing felt quite right. Some places proved to be a logistical nightmare for out of town guests or didn’t fit our budget. Then we stumbled upon Wayfarers Chapel. The intimacy of the space, a magnificent glass and wooden structure designed by Frank Lloyd Wright Jr., under towering trees, combined with the grand views of the Pacific Ocean, make the chapel seem otherworldly. John and I knew the moment we stepped onto the grounds that our search was over. Next, we enlisted my mother’s help to search for a reception venue. She took to Yelp and sent us a list of places near the chapel that had rave reviews then John and I gladly taste-tested our way through the list. We quickly landed on Zazou Restaurant in Redondo Beach. The intimacy of their private room, the impeccably prepared food, and the outstanding service made Zazou the perfect place for our celebration. Our wedding cake was not as easy to find. We tasted a lot of mediocre cakes before we discovered Jin Patisserie in Venice. Somewhere between the tenth and fifteenth vanilla cake sample, John came up with a plan to incorporate our first date (in Tokyo) and suggested green tea. Annabel was the right chef for the job – our matcha cake was uniquely us, and simply delicious. The tea-flavored chocolates we selected from Jin as wedding favors were also a big hit.”

Today I have a Vegas elopement for you, sent over by Jessica Marie Photos! The couple, Jessi and Danny, were inspired by the 1940s, and styled themselves based on that inspiration. Jessi, a former pin up model, picked out all their clothing from vintage stores in their home state of Texas, and she did her own hair and makeup. She looked smashing and did a wonderful job! Here is a bit more about the day from their photographer, Jessica…
“Danny and Jessi met by chance when Danny was on a work trip to Texas through a mutual friend, and once they started talking they were inseparable. From the start of their relationship, it was based off spontaneity, and their love for going on adventures together. They have both been in previous marriages, and had the big, elaborate weddings of their dreams so they decided why not embark on the biggest adventure of all, and get eloped! In Vegas! So they ended up in Vegas the next week, contacted me about being their photographer, and I jumped at the chance to be apart of something so free, and exhilarating! It was the most spontaneous thing even I have been apart of. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Throughout the day you could see the love radiating between the two, and seeing the two emit so much love made me excited.”
