Karen + Arcangelo’s Modern Montreal Wedding…

Hello, hello! I hope you all had a great weekend:) I love the wedding we are starting the week off with today. It was sent over by the bride, Karen, and is just beautiful!!! Karen and Arcangelo were married at an old 1930′s cabaret that was converted into an event hall in Montreal, Quebec. While Karen loves all thing vintage, Arcangelo is more of a modern man, so the modern design elements like the lighting and attire, paired with the historic venue, made for a perfect meshing of their personal styles. I am DYING over Karen’s dress and shoes!!! They are so unique and gorgeous. Don’t you think?

Summer Camp Wedding…

Today I have a wedding that I love, love, love to share with you! Abi + Adam were married in September at an old summer camp in New Hampshire. Just looking at the photos of their beautiful day, captured by Boro Creative Visions, brings a HUGE smile to my face! I adore the laid back vibe, the bridesmaids’ emerald dresses, the colorful florals, and Abi + Adam’s sweet pup Timber, just to name a few things.

The bride Abi was sweet enough to share some details about the day with us…

The inspiration for our wedding has definitely shaped itself over the course of planning it. There were a couple of things that we knew right of the bat. Those things being that, it was going to be outside and this was not going to be an over the top formal, or incredibly traditional ceremony/reception. This is why we chose an old summer camp in Lyme, NH (now owned by family friends) to have the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception!
We were inspired by our shared love for the outdoors, which is what brought us both out to Jackson, WY, where we met. I guess if there is a theme, it would include words like, campy, outdoorsy, rustic, antique, casual, and a little bit of western to represent where we met and live.

Annnd a few words about how they included Timber. If you read this blog often, you will know I am a complete and utter sucker for all things puppy:)…

When we decided that the wedding would be in NH, there was no question Timber would be making the trip east with us from Wyoming. Three years back, Adam and I, made a, as my Mom warned, “huge commitment”, and adopted Timber. Timber, you could say, married us to each other for the rest of his dog life:) He made us a family. He is apart of “us”. So, of course he would be apart of our wedding! However, we weren’t sure just how involved, he would be. During the ceremony, Timber sat quietly at the edge of woods that were our backdrop, eyes glued to the treetops, oblivious to his parents, or so we thought. When it came time for our vows, Adam and I stepped forward to hold hands. In doing so, Timber immediately broke from his squirrel trance and trotted over to us. Standing at our feet, looking up at us with a smile and wagging tail, it was like he knew that mom and dad were doing something that he couldn’t miss. Not to sound cheesy but, I will anyway, it was perfect-just like him.

Here’s some final (and really good!) advice from Abi..

Chill out and don’t do leave anything to be done the day before. If you’re getting married on Saturday then, Thursday is the last day that you should do anything wedding-wise. I did not do this and that’s my one regret. I felt like I was in a dead sprint until the very end. Friday, should be for taking it all in and spending the extra time with friends and family. If you still have stuff to do then, you’ll be like me, a distracted mess! Slow it down and enjoy. Oh yea, and make sure to grab some dessert before it gets devoured! That way, when you’re looking back at pictures, you’re not salivating and imagining just how good those s’mores cupcakes must have tasted! It doesn’t matter how many you order, people go crazy with bite sized desserts.

Retro Inspired Latin Wedding…

Kristine + Eddie did such a great job of infusing their retro inspired wedding with style, personality and heritage. I love all the custom art they had created especially for the day, including the skate board decks for the groomsmen, the guestbook, custom candle favors, and my favorite, the cut-out tattooed lady and man photobooth board! I can never resist taking a photo when I see one of those:) Plus, they had an ice cream cart stop by for their guests after the ceremony. Yum! The whole bash was captured beautifully by their photographer Jen, of Jennifer Williams Photography.

Romantic Arizona Wedding…

Happy Tuesday, lovelies! Are you ready for a beautiful wedding absolutely drenched in dreamy romance? Then today is your lucky day! I have a real gem to share with you, sent over by my sweet friend Abi of Abi Q Photography. Brady and Natalie were married in Arizona with a backdrop of adobe and catci (I heart catci). I am always a sucker for blush florals, but the pops of red in Natalie’s bridesmaid bouquets are fantastic! As you know from my petal, ruby + gold post last week, I’m a big fan of pairing pale pink and red!

Michelle + Brian’s Chic Palm Springs Wedding…

This chic Palm Springs affair was sent over by Sara of onelove photography, and it’s a real gem! Michelle and Brian wanted to put their personal stamp on their wedding day by infusing elements from both of their cultures. Michelle’s Chinese background was displayed through their wedding color, red, which is lucky in Chinese culture. They also consulted a Chinese fortune teller to help find the most fortuitous date to get married! As a nod to Brian’s Jewish heritage, they danced the Horah at the end of the night. I adore the way they expressed themselves as a couple, and the gorgeous details they chose to include in their day. That red and white striped tent at the reception? Hello, amazing!
