Hi Y’all! My name is Amber Moon and I’m just so excited to guest post for Melissa while she is on the mend! I fell in love with Melissa’s blog while we were planning our own wedding last year. After seeing her gorgeous wedding on Green Wedding Shoes, I was thrilled to find that Melissa had been gathering her own lovely inspirations and findings on the web at The Loveliest Day! It was an honor to design our customizable whimsical french save the dates together this past December – and we may or may not have a little Valentine’s day surprise for you – you’ll just have to wait and see!
I’m an architect by training – and run my own paper goods and floral studio in Los Angeles named . I know that pitbulls probably aren’t the first thing that come to mind when you think about wedding florals or stationary… but those unconditional sweethearts make me think of pure love… so here we are! I love to take a whimsical and unexpected approach to my designs and a percentage of all sales are donated to Karma Rescue, a local rescue helping others find their best friends.
Inspiration for your wedding stationary can come from anywhere – your grandmother’s handkerchief, a poem written by your love, the textures of your favorite flowers… start pulling inspiration from anything that catches your eye! Images, color swatches, pieces of fabrics will all serve as a lovely starting point for you or your designer. There are so many techniques at your disposal, which will allow your invitations to set the perfect tone for your day. Here are a few examples of everything from letterpress to laser cut to stamping – all at your fingertips! Enjoy!
