Hi everyone! Melissa asked me to guest post on her lovely blog {pun intended} and of course, I said ‘Yes!” Melissa has such an eye for what I call “the lovely”. It is always a joy to read her posts and soak in all the goodness. I hope you enjoy the board I created especially for you and Melissa.

Winter is upon us in many parts of the world and although where Melissa and I live, we do not have a true winter, at times I still long for those days. Winter brings to mind childhood memories of hot coca, the frosty air, the smell of fresh bread baking, and a corner armchair draped with a warm throw inviting anyone to cuddle with a good book. While many prefer darker colors during the colder season, I am partial to a softer palette. It goes so well with the snow and the ever present frost in the winter air.

A Cozy Winter’s Day

The cool colors used to create this palette are shades of icy blue, antique silver, pearl, eggshell, and parchment. The warmer colors used to ground the cooler colors are sorrel, cognac, and saddle.
