This session may look like it was shot all over the place, but no, all these amazing locations are in one spot! At Calamigos Ranch in Malibu where this couple, Paola & Evan, will be getting married over the summer. Tamar Levine, the incredible photographer behind this session was kind enough to share a little peek into the making of this sweet engagement shoot.

Before the photo shoot I asked Paola and Evan to describe their personalities and likes to get a better sense of how to photograph them. Paola said as a couple they are outdoorsy, eco-friendly, very down to earth, fun, light hearted, contemporary/modern with a touch of vintage/eclectic style here and there. She said they like farmers markets, cooking, eating, games, their dog Diamond, hiking, camping, kayaking, road trips, traveling, hanging out with friends. I thought their wedding venue was a perfect location since it captured everything she had emailed me.


There is nothing I love more than an engagement session that really, truly captures the essence of a couple. In my opinion, infusing your personalities into any photo session is a must! Plus, they included their dog, which always gets me! I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I am a sucker for animals and any photo is better with an animal in it:)
